EarWell is a small team selling one thing, and trying to sell it honestly: a rechargeable hearing aid at a price that does not need a financing plan.
Why we started EarWell
The middle option did not exist. On one side, a $4,000 clinic package. On the other, a $40 amplifier that turns the whole room up at once.
Shop for hearing aids and you land in one of two places. Clinics quote thousands, spread across appointments that can take a season to finish. Marketplaces sell cheap amplifiers that boost everything indiscriminately — including the noise you were already struggling to hear past.
Neither of those is what most people actually need. One is priced like a medical procedure. The other is not tuned to speech at all, and there is nobody to call when it whistles.
EarWell exists for the space in between: rechargeable behind-the-ear hearing aids running 16-channel processing on an American ONSEMI chip, with Bluetooth and an optional app, set up at home and sold direct at one flat price with a 30-day trial and a 1-year warranty. That is the whole business.
Nobody should have to nod along and pretend they heard.
Reading glasses did not stay a specialist product forever — you can buy a decent pair on the way home. Hearing help is heading the same way, and we would rather help it get there.

Active retirees
You are out most days — coffee with friends, the grandkids, a busy street. You want to follow the conversation without carrying a clinic bill around with you.
Still working
Meetings and phone calls are where it shows. You need something discreet enough that nobody comments on it, and reliable enough to wear all day.
Bought for a parent
You are ordering on someone else's behalf, and you will probably do the setup yourself. It has to be simple: charge it, put it in, done — with a return window in case it is not right.

Group conversation is the hardest case in hearing, and it is the one people miss most. Four listening modes exist for exactly this.

We hear the same objections every week, so here they are in plain language rather than buried in an FAQ — including the two that are about us rather than about hearing aids.
"Insurance won't cover it"
Original Medicare does not cover hearing aids or the exam to fit them. Some Medicare Advantage plans do — check yours first, because if it covers a clinic pair, take it. For everyone else there is a large gap left on a $4,000 pair, and that gap is why people wait years.

Device, exam, fitting and follow-ups. Much of that is clinic overhead rather than hardware — which is exactly the part we do not have.
"The cheap one I tried whistled"
Generic amplifiers boost everything at once with no feedback control. That is a different product to a multi-channel hearing aid, sold at a price that makes it look like the same thing.
"There are no reviews on this site"
Correct, and that is deliberate. We launched recently and we are not going to write reviews, buy them, or borrow another company's. When we have real customers who agree to be quoted, their words will go up here with their names on. Until then the only thing worth judging us on is the return policy, which is written down and binding.
"Who am I actually buying from?"
EarWell is registered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida — the address is in the footer and on the Contact page. The devices themselves ship from our overseas warehouse, which is why delivery is 7–15 business days rather than two days. Shipping is free and tracked. We would rather you know both halves of that before you order than find out from the tracking page.
